What’s a signature?
If you are a manufacturer/brand owner, we generate a packing slip for you. To add a signature to your packing slips, just click on the 'Lost Inbound' tab and click on the Manage Signature button to the upper right side. You can also select to have the signature automatically added for you by checking the "Auto-sign all future shipments" box and saving.
What’s an invoice?
To meet Amazon's requirements, an invoice must be from the supplier or manufacturer and contain the following:
- Date of purchase
- Product name of the missing units
- Quantity purchased
- Full name and address of the invoice issuer
- Full name and address of the purchaser
(The purchase price isn't required and can be concealed.)
What’s proof of delivery (POD)?
Proof of delivery is to the Amazon warehouse.
SPD (small parcel delivery) shipments: Carriers such as UPS and FedEx will have delivery records for a limited amount of time, so long as the shipping labels/tracking IDs were used. The information just needs to be requested directly from the carrier on their website, via email or through your account with the carrier.
LTL (less-than-truckload) shipments: Go to your Amazon Freight portal or the carrier’s portal to request a carrier-signed bill of lading (BOL).
AWD (Amazon distribution shipments): For Amazon distribution (AWD) shipments, you can upload a screenshot of the Shipment events page from the shipment in Seller Central.
